Catechetical Sunday, September 19th
Last year, our parish provided religious formation for nearly 2000 children. This accomplishment speaks volumes about the generosity of the many “unsung heroes” in our parish, namely our catechists (religion teachers). Each year, approximately 200 volunteer teachers, aides and hall monitors share their time, talent and their faith week after week with our parish youth. We could never meet this enormous challenge of educating so many of our young in the faith, except for the generosity and dedication of these volunteer teachers. This year we join the worldwide Church on Catechetical Sunday in recognizing and giving thanks to these wonderful men and women who teach the faith to our children by giving them a special blessing at the 10:30 AM Mass on September 19th. We cordially invite any catechist, aide, hall monitor and their family to join us for this liturgy and the breakfast that will follow in the school cafeteria. For reservations, please call the OCF at 785-0130.
